The Center for Advanced Information technology Research operates independent information technology research projects, each represented by a full-time faculty member from the College of Science and Engineering or the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, and supports their research activities from both software and hardware perspectives. For this purpose, six NVIDIA® DGX-1TM GPU compute servers and one DGX StationTM have been installed as shared equipment under a grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (FY2020 ) and support from the Institute’s “AI Research Hub Formation Project” (FY2018-2020). In addition, high-performance computing servers and various measurement devices that have been maintained by the project’s operating faculty will be used.
