Department of Physics and Mathematics

The Department of Physics and Mathematics fosters engineers and researchers who contribute to society after studying physics and mathematics, which form the basis of science and technology, and gain the ability to put their knowledge to practical use through experiments and practical work. We also work on basic to applied research of physical science and mathematical science in a wide range of fields. In particular, today when advanced physics and mathematics are directly involved with the elucidation of complicated social phenomena, we develop human resources who can command research tools and technologies required in the latest studies in physical science and who have mathematical knowledge and the ability to build mathematical models to elucidate these phenomena and put these models into practical use.
