Department of Mechanical Engineering

In this modern age of advanced information, globalization, limited resources of the earth, and population aging, the Department of Mechanical Engineering aims to foster mechanical engineers and researchers who can create new things while taking responsibility for humans, society, and nature based on the university's philosophy upon establishment. Namely, we develop engineers and researchers who contribute to social welfare and environmental preservation via mechanical technologies and have knowledge of lifecycle engineering from development to disposal. As factors necessary for such engineers and researchers; we have our students gain (1) (as a specialized capability) analytical ability based on mechanics and integrating the ability necessary to develop, maintain, and dispose of mechanical systems; (2) (as a basic capability) English, mathematics, and information technology skills; and (3) extensive knowledge enhancing their judgment ability.
