Experimental Unit of Space Robot

Experimental Unit of Space Robot
In order to design a high efficiency space robot, how to suppress the flexible vibration of the manipulator and the flexible solar panels is important. This experimental unit is used for verify the controller that controls both the vibration and the attitude for a free-flying space robot which provides one main body, one link flexible arm and two flexible solar panels at the same time.

By using stylus method combined with laser interferometry, the machine can measure surface profiles in the range of 10 nm to a few mm. The surface topography is also obtained.

The machine captures point coordinate data of parts with complex geometry mounted in the x-y-z space of 400-300-300mm. The combine computer processes the date and evaluates various geometrical features. The accuracy is within 0.005mm.
