Department of Chemistry and Biological Science

The Department of Chemistry and Biological Science aims to foster human resources with a wide perspective and flexible thought process who can contribute to academic development and handle changing academic needs by providing the four lines of core specialty subjects of physical chemistry, inorganic analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, and biological science as the bases as well as a wide variety of elective subjects within the chemistry and biological science fields. We value experiments and practical work, and for seniors, we focus on developing practical ability to solve problems by having students work on a graduation research project in small-group instruction. By providing such specialty education based on the university's characteristic Christian education, we aim to not only provide knowledge and skills but also foster adults with judgment and a sense of responsibility.
